Matt Rhodes of FreshNetwork presenting 'Proving the value of the social web'

Matt Rhodes, FreshNetworks, BrightlemonMatt Rhodes is Director of Client Services at FreshNetworks. One of the founding members of FreshNetworks, Matt oversees the production, management and analysis of branded online communities for brands like Virgin Media, Royal Bank of Scotland and TM Lewin. Matt runs both professional and personal blogs and is a prolific author of social media best-practice articles for a range of publications. He is a regular speaker at social media and web 2.0 conferences across Europe, and is often called upon to give expert commentary about social media on Sky News and BBC radio.

John Fintan Galvin , FreshNetworks, BrightlemonPassionate about Open Source and industry standards, he's an active participant in numerous technical communities, with particular interest in Semantic Web. His core technology expertise is web system design and he has been instrumental in architecting and delivering some of the largest and most complex platforms currently in use anywhere. Having delivered systems into some of the largest companies in the world (including, Vodafone, Nike, Reebok, TUI, Flightcentre, Stella Travel, UK Goverentment, EU, Nortel and many others) he has huge depth of experience in all aspects of system design.

Leon TOn graduating Leon worked for 2 years on a web site for the Department for Education - now the Department for Children, Schools and Families before working in the city of London on the French version of the highly regarded financial web site ADVFN (the Advanced Financial Network) .

Leon is a keen supporter of Drupal and the power of social networking for education, government and business.

Kat Elliot of New Digital Partnership presenting 'The Social Web for Professional Development'

Owen Pringle, Amnesty InternationalKat Elliott is a partner at New Digital Partnership and has been specialising in Drupal for the last three years as a digital consultant.

MyCPD was a Drupal-based tool we created last year for University of Arts London. The aim was to provide something that would help them manage and monitor a professional development programme in a more community-centred way than traditional CPD software allowed. This presentation is a look at the outcome and an quick overview of how Drupal was used in its construction.
